Polk County is conducting a safety and capacity improvement study for County Road 550 (Overlook Drive) from Cypress Gardens Boulevard (SR 540) to Dundee Road (SR 542) a distance of approximately 3 miles and Carl Floyd Road from Overlook Drive to Dundee Road a distance of approximately 0.5 miles. In addition, the intersection of Cypress Gardens Blvd (SR 540) and Cypress Gardens Road is also included. This study provides professionally obtained data, studies, modeling and surveys which will assist Polk County in determining the most cost-effective method for improving the safety and traffic flow along the corridor.
