I-4 / Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Interchange
Project Highlights
  • 32 Bridges (Most Curve Steel Box Girder)
  • Expressway to Expressway Connector
  • Client: FDOT District 7
Project Brief

As a result of the Tampa Interstate Study, a need for an expressway to expressway connection between I-4 and the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway was identified to allow easy access between these two facilities. This expressway to expressway connection has been designated as the I-4 / Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Interchange ("the Connector"). The Connector requires the construction of 32 bridges with an anticipated project cost in excess of $250 million. KCA is preparing final design plans for nine of these structures, most of which are curve steel box girder bridges with lengths in excess of 1,000 feet.

This project is currently under design.
