Project Brief

This project involves the reconstruction of 2 miles of Interstate 4. Design includes construction plans for a multi-lane mainline and various cross road and access road improvements. Structural design includes bridges for diamond interchanges at SR 574 (Martin Luther King Blvd.) and Orient Road as well as US 92 eastbound over the Tampa Bypass Canal, I-4 eastbound over the Tampa Bypass Canal and one ramp in the vicinity of US 92/US 301. The project was designed using the Tampa Interstate Study (TIS) as a guideline and is a segment of a much longer corridor in the TIS. The estimated construction cost for the project is $68,000,000 and the total design cost for KCA's section is $1,850,000.
