Our History

Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. (KCA) was established in 1976 by Jack Campo and Joe LaRussa to provide civil engineering design services on land development projects.  Within a year, former FDOT District I Structures and Facilities Engineer, Ed Burkett, joined the firm and KCA began broadening its services.

By 1979 KCA had established a strong reputation for Bridge Maintenance and Inspection (BMI) services.  That year KCA won the first ever Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) contract issued by the Florida Department of Transportation.  Today, KCA and its subsidiary, KCCS, stand as one of the preeminent BMI and CEI firms in Florida and throughout the Southeast.

KCA’s reputation extends well beyond CEI and BMI.  Our transportation, structures, and stormwater design groups have completed projects with budgets ranging from $25,000 to over $100 million.

Over the past three decades KCA has had many accomplishments and amassed a wealth of experience.  KCA designed one of the first roadway projects in Florida to satisfy stormwater permitting requirements within the existing right-of-way - greatly reducing the cost to the public.  More recently, we developed an automated system of tracking construction complaints which saves hundreds of hours in research time.  We applied our CEI expertise to pioneer the use of constructability reviews in design work.  Today, we are working on developing new ways to gather and manage infrastructure data to help government agencies more efficiently assess and maintain their assets.
